A man who was vacationing in Greece found himself at sea for 18 hours holding onto a small inflatable beach ball. Ivan, was visiting a beach in Greece when a powerful current pulled him out into the sea along with a friend on the 10th of July.
Ivan was at a drift in open sea for nearly 18 hours. Ivan told local media that the beach ball helped him float, even though it was partially inflated. Ivan also tells local news that it was pure luck that he came across that ball which was also lost at sea. Two brothers had lost that ball just 10 days prior while playing on a beach 80 miles away from where Ivan was swept out.
However, although Ivan made it out safely via first responder helicopters, his friend still remains missing as of July 13th
