Amazon just announced that they are finally lunching a fleet of delivery drones in areas of Lockeford California. Amazon worked with the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and local officials in order to gain proper premotions for the drones to take flight.

Amazon has been working on Drone Delivery for a number of years and gained proper FAA approval back in 2020, but do to the pandemic and other internal problems at amazon the project was on hiatus until recently.
Once the system lunches, amazon costumers in the city of Lockeford will be able to receive a majority of medium to small products form prime air. The drones will be using spicily developed sense-and-avoid systems in order to operate safely and avoid obstacles like plants, dogs, humans, Etc.
