Amazon has acquired iRobot, the maker of the Roomba for $1.7 Billion

Amazon will be acquiring iRobot for $61 a share in an all-cash deal that would value them at $1.7 billion.

this deal will open a lot more opportunities for Amazon’s presence in consumer robotics, and quite a few people are skeptical of what Amazon's Actual intentions are with this, some state that they just want to be able to map out your home amid other stuff.

this accusation will be Amazon's fourth largest deal following behind its $13.7 billion purchase of Whole Foods in 2017 and its $8.45 billion purchase of the film studio MGM last year and also its $3.9 billion accusation of boutique primary care provider for one medical.

Overall, Amazon chose a really good time to acquire iRobot,  as they are currently facing a 30% decline in revenue from previous years due to delays and cancellations. After this accusation, I robot CEO: angle will continue to run the company.
