As if the iPhone Pro Max tier of phones isn't already a super high-end device, Apple is deciding to release a replacement top-of-the-line iPhone, promptly named the iPhone "Ultra," and it could arrive as soon as next year, with this iPhone 15 series, according to Engadget.

The biggest rumor about these new Ultra devices are that they will be making them portless, making the only disruptions of the chassis only the speakers, microphone, and the power/volume buttons. When Tim Cook was asked about the rumors, he said “I think people are willing to really stretch to get the best they can afford in that category.”

Unfortunately, the iPhone "Ultra" that would replace the Pro Max tier of iPhone probably won't be a foldable, since all rumors point to Apple's first foldable being released in 2024 with the iPhone 16 series, according to GSMArena. This new rumor comes as Apple has experienced a total revenue sink of about 5% compared to this time 1 year ago.

Also, according to Bloomberg, the iPhone 15 series will be more differentiated in specs, with the top-of-the-line tier getting a periscope lens to improve optical zoom.
