Apple to finally drop the lightning connector in favor of USB-C in 2023

According to apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is to finally drop the lightning connector on iphones after nearly a decade.

In a pair of multiple tweets, Kou stated that apple was going go make the change next year (2023) basing the claim mostly off of a unspecified "survey" likely form a series of manufactures, who Kou gets a majority of his information form.

Kuo states that adopting USB-C could improve the transfer and charging speeds for iPhones, but details depend on IOS support. it seems that the lightning connectors time in the light is up, Mac Rumors noted that when apple had introduced the lightning connector in September 2012, Phil Schiller said that lightning was a modern connector for the next decade, well its currently may 2022 and that decade is nearly up.
