The My Photo Stream service will be discontinued by Apple on July 26, 2023. The My Photo Stream service automatically uploaded users' most recent photos to iCloud, where they could be accessed from any device that was signed into the same iCloud account. According to the company, they shut down My Photo Stream because they have chosen to focus on their iCloud Photos service, which offers a number of features that My Photo Stream does not, such as the ability to store an unlimited number of photos and videos, to edit and share photos, and to use just one login ID to sign in. From this point on, all new photos uploaded will be stored in iCloud Photos rather than My Photo Stream.

Users are encouraged to sign in to their iCloud account via the Photos app on their devices as soon as possible. The photos they have in My Photo Stream will be automatically transferred to iCloud Photos when they do this. With iCloud Photos, users can access their photos from anywhere, edit them, and share them. In addition, iCloud Photos offers increased storage space, so users can store more photos without taking up space on their devices.
