Yellowstone National Park plans to partially reopen as early as Monday. officials will continue to assess damages caused by the floods witch will keep more than half of Yellowstone closed and threatens to drastically drop the tourist rate.  

Yellowstone officials said the park's northern region, which bore the brunt of the flood damage, is expected to be closed for a "substantial length of time," which will likely go through the end of the season. They also stated that the less-impacted southern loop could likely reopen as early as Monday,

Heavy rains and rapid snowmelt form global warming, caused rivers to heavily over fill to the point where they were able to sweep away houses and entire bridges. The flooding also forced the evacuation of more than 10,000 visitors. loosing 10k visitors has fueled concerns for local businesses who deeply rely on Yellowstone visitors as a key source of revenue.
