Freddie Dredd (born September 19, 1997) is an Oshawa, Ontario-based Canadian rapper and producer.
Many of his songs are self-produced under the pseudonym "Ryan C." Dredd's production style is mostly sample-based, with samples from Bossa Nova music and Japanese anime and video games being used alongside 808 cowbell melodies and phonk drums. His vocals are frequently crude and violent in terms of both lyrical content and mixing, with his voice being bitcrushed and distorted.
Freddie regularly works with various underground hip-hop artists, including Baker, RAMIREZ, and Slim Guerilla, in addition to his solo work. He is also a Doomshop Records and SIXSET member. (last.fm)
"GTG," first released in 2018, is a wicked 95-second banger inspired by the bass-heavy horrorcore of early Three 6 Mafia, in which Freddie reveals in great detail how he'd mercilessly deal with anyone who causes him the smallest offense. "GTG" is one of Freddie's most successful tracks, with more than 100,000 listens per day over two years after its debut.
The RIAA recognized Freddie Dredd's gold record for more than 500,000 sales, including downloads and on-demand audio streaming, on May 23.
