Wizards Of The Coast, a Hasbro-owned company, sent the "Pinkertons" to raid YouTuber Oldschoolmtg's house after he uploaded an unboxing video featuring a leaked 50-card Magic The Gathering set called "The Aftermath." The set is a supplement to the game's current March of the Machine expansion and is set to release on May 12th.

However, the video caught the attention of Wizards of the Coast, the owners of Magic The Gathering, who reacted very strongly to the leak.

Over the weekend, agents of Pinkerton, a well-known private security firm in the US, showed up at Oldschoolmtg's home and demanded that he immediately handed over the "stolen" product.

The YouTuber suspects that the person he bought the cards from did not realize they were an unreleased set. After the Pinkerton agents recovered the cards, including the empty boxes and wrappers, a representative from Wizards Of The Coast contacted Oldschoolmtg. They apologized for the extremely heavy-handed approach and offered free products as compensation.

A spokesperson for Wizards of the Coast confirmed that they had sent the Pinkertons as part of their investigation into the leak. This also pretty much confirms that Hasbro had no plan to work with local law enforcement to retrieve the "stolen cards."

Despite the incident, Oldschoolmtg's viewership on YouTube has doubled since the original video went up.

It's almost hard to believe that this is a real story, but now we all know don't ever get on Hasbro's bad side...
