The suspect in Monday’s mass shooting at a July 4th parade in Highland Park Illinois has been charged with seven counts of murder, after leaving seven dead and  two dozen others injured.

Robert E Crimo lll has been charged with seven counts of first-degree murder which was announced by the lake county state attorney Eric Reinhart during a news conference Tuesday morning.

If Crimo is convicted these charges could lead to a mandatory life sentence Reinhardt stated. More charges are also expected to follow including attempted murder aggravated assault and discharge and others.
