The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has issued a 30% chance of severe weather in their 5-day outlook (the highest tier for extended 4-8 day outlooks). The 30% area includes the cities of Oklahoma City, OK, Tulsa, OK, Normon, OK, Wichita, KS, and Wichita Falls, TX. The 15% area includes the DFW Metroplex, Denton, TX, and Garland, TX as well as smaller towns in Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas.
It is not yet clear what the main threats are, but the conditions are favorable for supercell development, which tend to bring a hail and tornado threat.
