Nintendo announced today that they will be hosting a Nintendo Direct dedicated entirely to the upcoming Splatoon 3 game for the Nintendo Switch. The long-awaited event will occur on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 9:00 AM ET.

The event will contain "roughly 30 minutes" of information and updates about the new game.
Salmon Run, the co-op 4-v-AI mode introduced in Splatoon 2, is confirmed to be returning. The Nintendo Direct is also rumored to contain information about the new single-player campaign mode in Splatoon 3.
A special-edition Splatoon 3-themed Nintendo Switch OLED will launch a month earlier on August 27 alongside a special Nintendo Switch Pro Controller with a blue and yellow color scheme.
