Subway has had quite a high income for the past little while and on Monday publicly unveiled its first grab-and-go smart fridge which will be filled with pre-made sandwiches snacks and drinks.

This vending machine first technically appeared in September at a university in San Diego California and considering they are making more, we assume that the initial testing went well.

Subway states that local franchises will prepare and deliver sandwiches to these refrigerators. The vending machines will be equipped with artificial intelligence and neural language processing so customers can choose to order verbally and have a contactless experience.

"Subway Grab & Go has quickly gained traction as consumers are drawn to sandwiches made fresh daily," said Karla Martinez, director of innovation for non-traditional development at Subway.
