Twitter to accept Musk's $43 billion buyout offer

Twitter is reportedly nearing a deal to sell itself to Elon Musk, according to The New York Times and other sources. The deal could be finalized as soon as Monday, Twitter has declined to comment further on reports.

These reports come after Musk revealed last week that he had lined up $46.5 billion in financing to acquire the company. Twitter's board of directors met Sunday to evaluate Musk's offer to buy all shares of the company.

The potential sale agreement comes weeks after Elon Musk revealed he had taken a more than 9% stake in the company and ramped up calls for changes to the social media platform.
