Earlier today June 25, A deadly shoot out broke out at a WeatherTech facility in Illinois. The shooting occurred after a temporary employee robbed two other workers and was confronted.

police in Chicago were called to the facility on a report of a shooting at around 6:25 AM and found three people shot. One victim suffered fatal injuries, another was in critical condition and the third was treated at a local hospital and released a few hours later.

The suspect fled the scene when police arrived but was later arrested and was identified as 27 year old Charles C. McKnight Jr., police believe the shooting occurred after McKnight robbed two coworkers at gunpoint during an overnight shift and then was confronted about the robbery.


“When confronted an argument ensued and the offender pulled out a handgun and shot three co-workers,” he said. “This shooting does not appear to be premeditated.” {Statement from Chicago PD}

A watch and a wallet was taken when the robbery happened, police also state that they found a handgun and the items that were stolen when McKnight was arrested later in the day.
